The Deeley Motorcycle Exhibition is now presenting the “End of Empire”, an ongoing exhibition that demonstrates the rise and fall of the British motorcycle industry and its causes. Vancouver’s Theatre in the Raw presents a series of mythical plays and winning one-acts on the stage of Little Mountain Studios this weekend, with a following Vancouver Afternoon Outdoor Event on Sunday, July 5. An intense heat wave is expected to hit Vancouver end of June beginning of July. A possibility of spreading fire isn’t excluded. Temperatures will rise unusually high, so consider yourself waned: it will be Hot and Burning in the house! It’s nearing the middle of June, which means lots of heat (yes, more) and of course the annual Car-Free Festival’s that are put on all around Vancouver. June 4 to September 7, Museum of Vancouver features an extravaganza exhibit of bicycles. Anime Evolution, Vancouver’s annual Asian pop-culture event, is back again this year, bringing the city some of its Asian art, manga, games, film and music along with it. 500,000 people, more than 400 shows and 150 free concerts all in 10 days. Now that’s what I call a solid festival. That’s right, the 2009 Vancouver International Jazz Festival is back and ready to blow with more than 1800 musicians from all over the world, ready to kick off the summer from June 26 [...] 14 stallions – the majestic fairy-tale white Lipizzans will arrive in Vancouver for their 39th Anniversary Tour to perform at PNE Agrodome on June 27 and 28. Started in 1970, the show has been famed all throughout Great Britain, Europe, North and South America, Hawaii and Australia with its awe-inspiring routines and flawless choreography. Their [...] Whether it be Walter, the grumpy retiree with a disdain for today’s world, or my personal favourite of Achmed the dead suicide bomber, Dunham is always good for a laugh. Lucky for us, he’s coming to Vancouver on June 11, bringing his diverse concoction of dolls with him. |
